About the CSRD Institute

Established in 2024, the CSRD Institute is a private training provider dedicated to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs (VSME).

Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, the CSRD Institute was founded by two friends and ex-colleagues who have a shared background and expertise in the areas of corporate finance and eLearning.

Our robust training programmes have been developed in full adherence to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), with further implementation guidance and best practices from the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) and additional sustainability professionals incorporated into our course material.

We are proud to be an official Friend of EFRAG, demonstrating our commitment to the development of sustainability reporting and supporting EFRAG in their important mission.

Possessing a unique background in Learning Experience Design, Accounting and Finance, and Entrepreneurship, Brian has developed a wide range of eLearning businesses to date.

He has spent over 10 years working in, and developing eLearning programmes for, industries such as Accounting and Finance, Healthcare, Medical Device Regulation, Digital Marketing, and Music.

His experience ranges from developing and running eLearning businesses from scratch, to redesigning underperforming programmes, to helping successful programmes reach the next step. His strong entrepreneurial experience and business acumen ensures both a business-focused and learner-centred approach to designing and developing eLearning.

Brian holds a Degree in Accounting and Finance (Dublin City University), and a Masters Degree in Technology and Learning (Trinity College Dublin).

With over a decade of experience across varied industries including private banking, digital marketing, and education, Caroline is skilled in online content development, community building, and client relationship management.

Caroline holds a first class honours degree in International Commerce and French (University College Dublin), a Master of International Business with distinction (Grenoble Graduate School of Business, France), and a Master of Arts in French Literature (University of Bordeaux, France).

In May 2024, we launched the CSRD Institute in response to a need for education and training on the recently introduced Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

With our combined professional backgrounds in business, accounting, and finance, we recognised the evolving reporting landscape and the significance of sustainability as a key catalyst for change.

We quickly realised that our expertise in eLearning and instructional design together with our business acumen ensured we were well positioned to develop high-quality educational resources on the CSRD that could help support and empower individuals and businesses.

We are dedicated to providing an enriching learning experience that not only instils confidence in the implementation of sustainable initiatives, but also catalyses positive change within organisations and communities worldwide.
